Bio Ashley Bradley (b. Colorado, 1998) is an interdisciplinary artist and weaver. Through the medium of tapestry, she finds solace in contradictions of temporality by rendering fleeting moments of chaos. She contextualizes her familial relationships in the scattering of horse stampedes, forging woven surreal dreamscapes that analyze themes of home, herd, and harmony. Bradley has exhibited across the U.S., including Chicago, IL; New York City, NY; Fennville, MI; and Denver, CO. She was a finalist in the 2024 Bridgeport Art Center 12th Annual Art Competition and a 2021 New Futures Prize Recipient for The Other Art Fair. She displayed work at The Other Art Fair Chicago, as a part of their 2021 Global Virtual Editions, and her work was included in the 2021 Evanston + Vicinity Biennial. Her weavings have been featured by PAPER Magazine and Whitewall. Bradley lives and works in Chicago, IL and received a BFA with a focus in Fiber and Material Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2020. |
